On my way back from shooting in the Baltic in 2015, a tired man working the train desk of the London Airport indulged this mega-nerd when I timidly asked for Platform 9 3/4. I was lost… and traveling home to Denver but this opportunity simply could not pass. This poor guy- it had been ages after the first film was released and you could feel the heavy puff in his voice before he made a sound. “Think yo bein fuhnny eh?” the words clucked out of his mouth without him looking up once.

Gaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!! He said it! I looked around but there was no one but me to be embarrassed by my reaction. I had almost missed my train but was overcome by my roaring inner-monologue-giggle that made me mini snort to hold back my joy. For this very reason, I take on wild projects that keep the magic alive. Please enjoy this styled shoot honoring the love between Jaicie Cave and Levi Deveney in their own magical world.

It was so much fun styling Miss Jaicie! She is a talented artist herself so it was a blast doing her hair and makeup for this modern 1920’s/1930’s inspired shoot. The most magical creature in this town is without a doubt her gorgeous, natural, golden red hair.

Jaicie and Levi were sent my way without knowing this was a styled engagement shoot so what a surprise! With all of the hand-made tiny books, the detailed props and the entire set construction, this project alone took a year to come to life. Our storage unit now has more boxes of curiosities to say the least. Hosted in my new favorite “Rabbit Room”, these two sipped on champagne and watched our big ol bunnies (Zoltar and Grimm) hop and play just on the other side of the studio. What does the future hold for these two love birds? Just ask Zoltar… she already knows. UPDATE: ENGAGED 2023!

These magical shoes were worth every hot glue burn! The woodland vibes bring out our inner Disney Princess and were inspired by the Hogwarts greenhouse. I know one man that didn’t mind chasing after that flying key!

this cake was inspired by koa’s love for reading and relentless chasing of our local “bumboh bees”. I had the most enormous joy making this starflower-bee-snitch.

Believe me when I say that liquid luck wasn’t needed at all for these two incredible people to find each other. Sometimes your love story is already written in the stars and you just have wait for the right moment, that moment.

It is now your time for a love worth writing books about.
