MIXED MEDIA — The Cosmo Cottage™

I have been so fortunate in this lifetime to not only have a bizarre set of skills, but even more fortunate to have been hired to share my strange creations with my fabulous clients across the country. Our Koa now enjoys these perks as her requests for a mandrake doll transform into a mock up of a screaming ficus-like mandrake-baby she gets to snuggle at night. My poor husband though. Some jokes go too far and I end up cutting into the drywall while my honey is at work… but we now have a “Coraline door” in our hallway if our daughter wants to flee to her other mother’s home. I have fabricated large scale interactive sets for high-end expos and crafted eclectic designs that have shared the stage with Project Runway finalists. My daughter has been by far my most demanding and fun client to create for but, on occasion, I open the books for some exciting, new projects. So here is a sample of all of the unusual things this circus has had the privilege of making for some spectacular clients and guests over the years. I am available for limited event design and construction work upon request -and at the mercy of our tiny flower farm’s schedule. *Not available for hair/ makeup services at this time. Koa was immediately drawn to the magical world that was home to her favorite emotional plants. She dressed up as “Herbology” Luna Lovegood for Halloween and loved running around a local greenhouse for her photos. The mandrake doll was hand-stitched and painted over an inexpensive baby doll found on Amazon.

“Koa loves the holidays! I designed a custom, Secret Garden themed Nutcracker to present to Koa at her Ballet Winter Showcase last year. I never imagined how popular this lil guy would get! We have a new tradition for Christmas time ballet recitals now. I wonder what this year’s will look like?”
